Why is my hair color very different from my facial hair?

Ok, my hair on top of my head is dirty blonde. Hair of my mother is the same color hair and my father was black. But if the black grow my facial hair in the beard or mustache is dark, and seems rather strange Is this normal? Everyone knows why?

I do not know if it is considered "normal" from a scientific perspective, but certainly not unusual.
